Values are the basis of organizational culture. They represent those convictions and behaviors through which one company differentiates itself from another.
Some concepts to keep in mind when choosing your organization's values:
● They must be clear and motivating.
● They should not be specific to a particular area of the organization.
● They should generate a sense of belonging.
● The rule of thumb is 'the fewer the better.'
TIP
We recommend that you limit your organizational values to no more than eight in total. Employees will recognize your values and assimilate their meaning more quickly if there are not too many.
