Sponsored content is featured content submitted by your company and is visible in the feed of every member of your organization.
This type of content can only be generated and configured by users who have been assigned a Communications role and permission to upload photos and video.
To generate sponsored content, follow these steps:
Step 1
On the Admin panel -- Content Management. There you will see a list with all the published sponsored content. Click the New Post button.
Step 2
Choose a name and description for the campaign. Then select a content type and click Continue.
IMPORTANT:
This data is administrative in nature and will not be visible in the content post.
Step 3
Select an image or a video and enter the description for sponsored content.
DID YOU KNOW...?
You can publish the sponsored content on behalf of the organization but first, you need to configure a name and an image for communications in the Organization section of the Admin. For more information, click here.
The image selected to generate the content can weigh up to 300 KB and can have any of the following formats:
● Square: 620-pixels wide and 620-pixels high
● Landscape: 620-pixels wide and 349-pixels high
● Portrait: 349-pixels wide and 620-pixels high
The video selected to generate the content can weigh up to 50 MB and must be in MP4 format.
TIP
Use the image editor to select the size, position, and shape of the image.
You have to choose the audience for this post: you can send it to the whole community, or simply choose the segments or channels (or a combination) you want to reach.

Here you can also set the publication date of the sponsored content and the time you want to increase its relevance. You simply have to click on Later, and select the date and time.
IMPORTANT
StarMeUp gives you the possibility to pin the post on your feed, for a certain period of time in order to give the post maximum relevance.
Once this is set, click Publish. After you schedule sponsored content for publication, it will be automatically added to the list in the first step.
Banner
The banner is a type of sponsored content that appears in the top section of the activity feed.
Like all the other types of sponsored content, a banner can only be generated and configured by users who have been assigned a Communications role and permission to upload photos and video.
To generate a banner, follow the same steps as for generating sponsored content, with the only difference that when choosing the content type, select Banner.
Then you need to select an image, draft a description, copy a hyperlink and schedule a publication date.
IMPORTANT
Banners must always have a hyperlink and a image with a ratio of 32:9. i.e. 640-pixels wide and 180-pixels high. The image can weigh up to 300 KB.
