Why it matters
The Disengagement Detector is a tool that helps companies detect early signs of talent disengagement, and improve the talent experience as a whole.
By comparing an individual’s past and current level of engagement, the Disengagement Detector can identify professionals to take actions. This data provides actionable insights that help leaders co-create strategies that help talent reconnect to their company’s purpose.
Comparing engagement levels
Each week, the Disengagement Detector will analyze individual participation levels, comparing data from the last 30 days with their data showing their participation levels over the last 90 days. This comparison will showcase a user’s engagement level.
This feature takes into account all users activity in StarMeUp. Some activities depend on the StarMeUp modules and features active in each company. E.g. frequency of access to the product, send stars, post moments, share likes, comments and celebration messages.
Disengagement indicators
The Disengagement Detector will show one of the following results:
- Disengaged: The data shows a pattern that indicates user disengagement.
- Engaged: The data shows a pattern that DOES NOT indicate user disengagement.
- Not enough data: There is not enough data to identify engagement level.
Actions for HR
When HR identified talent whose engagement level is dropping, they can:
- Design and deploy personalized surveys to gain insights into talent satisfaction levels and general concerns.
- Put together strategies to strengthen connections in the areas of the company where engagement is lower than average.
Actions for leaders
When leaders identified talent whose engagement level is dropping, they can:
- Have 1:1 conversation to discuss talking points to have more context and then confirm what the collaborators’ engagement is.
- Align actions plan and follow up progress in next conversations.
- Review Actionboard periodically to monitor other collaborators indicators.
Keep in mind
Before implementing the Disengagement Detector, please note that:
- Your organization should have the Engagement module or the Engagement + Performance modules. The Performance module alone will not support the feature.
- A minimum of six months on StarMeUp is required (for the company and the individual user), with sustained use of the platform. This ensures there is enough data for the tool to work correctly.
