Quick Tour: Onboarding new employees in StarMeUp

Onboarding new employees in StarMeUp

Updated over 2 years ago

StarMeUp helps new hires feel welcome. It gives them a practical understanding of what your organization's desired behaviors are. And, it helps them to quickly identify and incorporate your corporate values.

The goal is simple: get people to understand from day one how the platform works and feel comfortable with it. When entering the platform for the first time, new users will be able to access the Onboarding Guided Tour, a guide with basic information about how StarMeUp works, from completing the profile to sending recognitions and sharing photos and videos.

Any person can access the Quick Tour as many times as they want from StarMeUp’s footer.

It is advisable to challenge new users to interact with the platform during or after the onboarding process:

● Sending their first star to those who helped them in the process of joining the company.

● Uploading their first photo.

● Providing a #hashtag for them to use like #MyFirstDay.

● Completing their hobbies and interests.

● Receiving greetings from other colleagues.

TIP

Involve leaders in this process. Welcoming new members with a Star is a good practice because it's a way to make team changes visible to the rest of the organization.

A good onboarding program will facilitate the acquisition of the knowledge or skills necessary for new members to become effective members of the company and live the culture of the organization from day one.

REMINDER

With the help of StarMeUp Analytics, you will be able to obtain useful information for making data-driven HR decisions. For example, track new employees’ progress in terms of integration and connections in the workplace by measuring the recognition they've received and sent.
