With Discover Colleagues, StarMeUp users can discover and connect with new colleagues within the organization based on common interests, projects, areas and geographic location, among other filters.
To access Discover Colleagues, simply click on Start Now within the widget that you will find on the Activity Feed.
You can also access Discover Colleagues from the search box by clicking on Discover Colleagues.
Once inside Discover Colleagues, you will see the following screen:
The first thing you should do is select the filters to search for new colleagues. Once that’s done, click on View Results.
DID YOU KNOW...?
All Discover Colleagues filters are configurable. You can add the following fields to your database: office, city, country, area, project, account, seniority, job, blacklisted members, cultural influencer, office id, hobbies, and any of the configurable fields.
REMINDER
To take full advantage of this feature, you must have as much information as possible loaded into your database.
In addition to discovering new colleagues, you can select the users returned by the search to:
Send a Star
Create a Get-Together
Copy emails
Send a Star
Once the filters are applied, Discover Colleagues allows you to send stars to the users returned by the search. To send a star you simply have to click on Send a star.
This will redirect you to Send a Star, where you must choose the value of the star you wish to send and write a brief comment. Once you specify what and why is being recognized, click on Send Star.
IMPORTANT
If you don't have enough stars available to send to each employee, a group star will be automatically configured to send.
Create a Get-Together
This feature also allows you to create events in Google Calendar from StarMeUp. You simply have to click on Create Meeting Space.
IMPORTANT
If your organization does not have the Gsuite integration, this feature will not be available.
This will redirect you to Create Meeting Space, where you must specify the date and time for the event, write a title explaining why you’re setting a meeting, and a brief description. Once you complete all this information, click on Save.
TIP
At the end of the process, click on Add to Calendar to generate a video call link from Google Calendar.
Copy Emails
Finally, if you click on Copy Emails, you will be able to copy people’s emails from the search results.
TIP
Before performing any action, you can deselect users from the search results selecting them one-by-one by clicking on the pink check, or simply Deselect All.
